A painting here, some stone axes there and the odd carved trinket in the belly of a saber-toothed tiger–those were the traces that our ancestors left as proof of ownership. All these for almost half of human history, moving with the four-leggeds, bringing their food supplies to their respective areas.

From 30,000 BC to 15,000 BC over the years, our ancestors slowly turned their backs from the hunter-gatherer lifestyle. These hunter-gatherer societies could still be found in some areas of the world. It’s amazing however to see what happened through the years–a transition toward the agrarian society, a transition which brought about the birth of home ownership.
